MOTHERHOOD - SELF COMPOSED POEM
MOTHERHOOD
- VEDIKA BHATT
She's like a cloud
having an enormous influence on the earth.
She made me warm through her cuddles
like an open fire does on the hearth.
She's like a rainbow
having majestic glamorous colours
On the times when I'm shattered, she's my pillar.
While her looks looked prettier to everyone
I loved her demeanor.
When I do a misdeed she escapes me from being a sinner.
She has taught me lessons, and has penalized for mistake
But her love for me is still as deep as an ocean or a lake.
Her presence to me is a cherry on the cake.
Her one affable touch fades all my ache.
I accept her reprimand, as it's part of motherhood.
After all, a mother's rebuke is awfully good.
What else do I need to exclaim about her?
Everything without her seems darker and darker.
There's no doubt, that I abundantly love my mother.
